Wear The Pants / Tara Victoria / Graphic Designer & Blogger

Why we love this gal:
Tara Victoria is a Graphic Designer and Blogger from Alberta, Canada. When she’s not running her design studio Hatch & Harbour, you can find her curating content on her blog taravictoria.com: a fitness + design blog about simplicity, living authentically, loving yourself, journey and all things inspiring. We're swooning over the photos she shot in the Canadian Rockies wearing our yoga pants (the special blue-stitching Kickstarter edition!).
What are two items to do on your bucket list?
I want to go to Iceland… like tomorrow! It’s so beautiful and I’m constantly inspired by photographs I’ve seen and spots there to visit. It’s definitely become a serious must for me. A second would be cat skiing (snowboarding), ever since I started snowboarding that has definitely been something I’ve always wanted to do.
What's the best compliment you've ever received?
“You inspire me”. For me, that is the highest compliment and the best feeling in the world. In whatever context I’ve received it, whether it’s my design work or something I wrote on my blog - it brings tears to my eyes every time. Inspiring someone because of something you’ve shared: that’s the best part about being vulnerable with your story.
Where were you when you got your first period?
If I remember correctly, I was at home - was going pee when I looked down at my underwear and was seriously alarmed then super excited once I realized what was happening (weird, I know).
Who did you tell first?
Definitely my mom. She made a big deal out of it for me and my sister since we were “becoming women” and that made me excited. Then I got it and was like “why was I stoked for this?!”
What's the best piece of advice you've ever gotten?
So many gooders to choose from, but right now the first thing that pops into my head is something I saw written on a Pinterest post recently that has now become a bit of a mantra for me. “Your soul is rooting for you.” I’ve always been an optimist and a really positive person, but for some reason I struggled with positivity when it came to self-talk. That quote was a total aha! moment for me, realizing the universe is not out to get me and if I believe it (like really believe it) I can do anything I put my mind to.
What are you most proud of?
My family. They are truly amazing people that constantly amaze me and bless my life.
